Big, strong quarterback with lethal arm. Accurate passer, stands tall in the pocket.

Interviewed by TheSabre.com on October 5th, 2001. Father and mother leaning UVa for academics and travel. Martinez down to two schools, Tennessee and Virginia.

Camped at UVa the summer before senior year. Also performed well in the spring with the Nike Combine at Penn State. Invited to participate at the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp in San Diego, CA. Efforts at those two camps leaped Martinez into the top-ten nationally for quarterback prospects.

Played in the shadow of Aaron Alexander and Mike Robinson in the Richmond Area. Should have the center stage (Richmond) along with Patrick Dosh this season. Top quarterback at the Penn State Nike Camp. Camped at Michigan summer of 2000. Looking to camp at Michigan and Virginia this summer. Has interest in Tennessee and Penn State as well. Serious baseball prospect. Expected to be drafted by a Major League Baseball team as a right-handed pitcher.
