those were the donovan mcnab years of syracuse, and west va was still
ok back then. Rutgers and temple were terrible back then, but every other team in the big east was average to above most years. And while miami was limping from probation, they weren't bad....and in fact by 1999, they were very good...and we know that they were great in 2000 and 2001. I tended to think the big east back then was pretty comparable to the acc (in fb), but i could certainly see the debate there, and i dont want to open up that can of worms :) |
