I heard a story, perhaps apocryphal, about a FB coach who brought his
team into that stadium to play the Middies. When he saw the commemoration of naval actions (Iwo Jima, Coral Sea, Midway, et al) around the face of the stands, he was supposed to have said "I guess Navy does play the toughest schedule." Same observation would would be true for USMA, too. Still would be sorry to see long-time rivalry w/UMD discontinued. |
