advertisers? Located in areas sought by advertisers, relatively highly
educated, etc.?

I know nothing about advertising and marketing. I'm NOT making a
normative point; just asking the descriptive questions. If lax fans
are a relatively more desired demographic by advertisers, could that
be a factor in getting as much air time as we do?

Current Thread:

Quint has been posting on laxpower  --  VailSkis   Fri Jun 1 2012 8:04:51 PM
If true, those are some very sobering numbers....  --  JoeHoo   Tue Jun 5 2012 11:18:49 AM
Lax needs its own cable channel **  --  HOOGATORB   Tue Jun 5 2012 8:27:50 AM
Quint is annoying. As time goes on things will change **  --  hokieh8r   Sat Jun 2 2012 2:08:23 PM
Some of you guys should try to actually listen to Quint instead of going by old  --  1moreUVAfan   Sun Jun 3 2012 9:54:15 AM
Exactly. I saw nothing in his post that was bad. He made some great points. **  --  CDCHoo   Mon Jun 4 2012 10:48:53 AM
I listen to Quint until he starts playing favorites ...then i shut him down. **  --  hokieH8ter   Sun Jun 3 2012 9:41:18 PM
Better than Vitale or Raftery IMO **  --  HOOfan_1   Sat Jun 2 2012 2:12:07 PM
Quint is on the Skip Payless level. Raftery is OK. Vitale is  --  dpc1994   Sat Jun 2 2012 4:11:31 PM
How does Bayless still have a job?  --  blah   Sat Jun 2 2012 5:04:25 PM
Because, deep down inside, some observers of sport WANT  --  dpc1994   Mon Jun 4 2012 10:04:50 PM
                  Now there you have a jerk. **  --  1moreUVAfan   Sun Jun 3 2012 9:57:07 AM
IMO, he had no credibility to lose.  --  ACME-Hoo   Sun Jun 3 2012 8:11:48 AM
Possibly firing him would trigger a huge severance package. **  --  1moreUVAfan   Sun Jun 3 2012 10:23:57 AM
That is immensely surprising to me. Women's bowling?????  --  cvilleHOOrat   Fri Jun 1 2012 10:52:49 PM
You're correct, we are very fortunate to have so many lax games broadcast.  --  Lax Dr.   Sat Jun 2 2012 10:51:18 AM
How many people bowled in their lives? How many even know the rules to lax.  --  blah   Sat Jun 2 2012 9:59:01 AM
            I've painted fences before...doesn't mean I want to watch others do it **  --  HOOfan_1   Sat Jun 2 2012 10:29:43 AM
               I sure don't, but according to Quint ... they do. **  --  blah   Sat Jun 2 2012 5:05:14 PM
Just asking: is the lax demographic perhaps a particularly desirable one for   --  Lax Dr.   Sat Jun 2 2012 7:52:57 AM
No, not really. It's a "highbrow" sport, and caters to the upper part.  --  CDCHoo   Mon Jun 4 2012 10:50:57 AM
I think the answer to your question is yes, Q also  --  Priffski   Mon Jun 4 2012 9:51:13 AM
Your point sounds good to me. **  --  1moreUVAfan   Sun Jun 3 2012 9:55:20 AM
My guess is that the ratings are just limited severely by region  --  VailSkis   Fri Jun 1 2012 11:24:13 PM
I disagree, I don't think the sport of lacrosse should change  --  cvilleHOOrat   Sat Jun 2 2012 11:26:23 PM
               +1 (more) **  --  Priffski   Mon Jun 4 2012 9:52:06 AM
               + 1 **  --  1moreUVAfan   Sun Jun 3 2012 1:17:07 PM
      Wow...I guess since I am into lacrosse I thought the ratings were better **  --  HOOfan_1   Fri Jun 1 2012 8:35:48 PM
