Title IX (aka Football squad sizes) sometimes cause schools to impose
caps on the men's team. And then you just have space issues, the pool
is only so big, right? Or not enough dollars to fill all the scholarships. I
can't recall UVA ever imposing caps for any reason, however. But there
is a first time for everything.
