| Subject: Future Hoos and others to swim at NCSA Junior Nationals this week |

Virginia's future women's team members will be well represented at
NCSA junior nats this week (Starting tomorrow). Samatha James (who got her Olympic Trials cut in the 100 back a few eeks ago at the Columbus Gran Prix meet--finaled at a pretty competitive meet) Hanne Borgersen Rachel Moore Natalie Martin On the men's side, Rodney Fentress is entered. NCSA's is usually a very, very fast meet. This year may not be quite as fast at the very top because those athletes already have OT cuts, but some of the very best athletes in the country (top recruits--some that Virginia will be recruiting hard) will be there: Rachel Bootsma (on her way to Cal), Katie Ledecky (14 yrs old), Kristin Vredeveld (Nathan's sister), Janet Hu, Max Williamson (Ellen's brother), John Conger, and many others, including a few not-yet elite siblings of current Hoos (Nick MDO's brother, Brad Phillips' brother) I believe the meet will be SCY prelims, LCM finals, and it should be an interesting preview of what next year's first years will bring to the teams. |
