to run a country, about being aware that the world is usually not
binary, issues can be complex, what is the right answer for one problem may not be the right answer to another. There HAS been proper and necessary roles for government over our history, and each time such roles were assumed they were opposed by those who stood to have advantage taken away and by those who refuse to recognize proper roles for government. I'm not sure a refusal to consider proper government intervention is any more conservative than a bias towards such intervention. The problem with economic dogma is that no matter how perfect it seems in a classroom, it is practiced by imperfect creatures. |
