those couples should also be afforded the "perks" given only to married couples. Its also the main argument against the formal recognition of polygamy. In essence, its argued that those priveleges should be exclusive to only one couple, i.e., you should only be able to share those priveleges with one other person. Therefore, the idea is that while you can marry as many people as you want, only the first marriage would be valid in granting those priveleges. |
