a Hoya forward who was exerting only moderate pressure. Other that that, we won 1-0. Oh, and our best player, Will Bates? He did a tiny bit of warming up but couldn't play while recuperating from an injury. I liked the Maryland SoccerPlex and its surroundings, though, and the ride out from the DC area along the C&O canal (and stumbling across where JEB Stuart crossed the Potomac heading north, en route to costing the CSA the war), and on up to the Germantown area...nice country, sort of like Albemarle County. |
