I also believe that 95% of folks that don't currrently follow soccer in the USA (that's a Real big number, btw) might if the game were improved. I think making the PK a longer distance, as you suggest, is probably a good idea ... but would be much more important if the shootouts went 5- 5 more frequently. ... but. please don't ever suggest that here again or that will need to be "given a rest". I will post my thoughts here when so moved, because occasionally a cognitive response appears amongst the thoughtless ad hominem attacks. (It wasn't the only scoreless game ... and when you reach deep into an important tournament and the rules allow a clearly inferior opponent to stall in a defensive shell so they can take their chance with something close to a "coin flip" type of tie-breaker, change is needed... if you're tired of reading that, then don't read that) |
