1. using technology to enforce existing rules is nothing like
implementing changes to the rules. . 2. MLS has some nice things happening - atmosphere in Seattle (prob some small benefits also for soccer that they got screwed by the NBA - leaving a helpful void) - new stadium in downtown Houston near the baseball stadium that's not too big - and plenty of recent immigrants reportedly establishing residence in their region . 3. have said multiple times the way to test changes is to conduct scrimmages, etc. using proposed changes - or even in squad practices ... but this is opinion, that's part of what we do here . 4. it is a bit amusing that the soccer-reporterette confirms the adage about lies, damned lies and statistics ... NBA plays nearly twice as many games including post-season - and generally play indoors - arenas, etc. - where capacity is going to be far smaller ... . 5. In the 1800's, there were probably rounders/cricket fans in the US that were outraged that folks would bastardize their game with what was to become baseball ... some folks just can't stand change (progress) ... "how will we effectively compete at the international cricket matches?" |
