He did everything he could and fought unbelieveably hard. When he
called for the trainer at the end of the first set, I thought his chances were pretty slim. Two hours later he was still grinding it out giving everything he had. Kim was really solid and played a very smart game. Sanam earned every point he won tonight. The 2 double faults in the 3rd set breaker were really too much to overcome. Sanam did hit some amazing winners in the breaker though. I think it was 4-4 and he barely missed on a cross backhand passing shot on the full run. He gave a big yell and the crowd nearly exploded, but it was called out. Sanam got a well deserved two minute standing ovation after the match. Sanam is going to do some great things for us this year. |
