He beat Ole Miss' top guy, #5 Lutjen. Lutjen beat UGA's #8 Singh at this same event. Johnson and his partner also beat Singh/Pasha as well as UGA's #5 ranked team of Wagland/Pieters to win the doubles. I don't ever remember thinking Johnson would be a Top 10 player (and what top 10 player ever transfers from UGA??), but that is a really good start to the year. |
