Don't think the leadership at the Progress had any interest in
covering women's sports. The most coverage I ever saw was on the UVA women's lacrosse team after Yardley Love died. Of course the story here was not women's sports. Jay Jenkins is now working for one of the UVA sport's sites. I asked if he would be willing to provide articles on UVA women's basketball recruiting. He said if there was enough interest from other subscribers to the site, he would do a monthly update. I was surprised that about twenty subscribers said they would be interested. I think I am one of only two female subscribers on the site. He hasn't posted any info yet. |
