If you've 'got game' and can put it in words, then you're the one! With pretty much
all the schools providing an Internet broadcast of their home games, a 'sports
writer' doesn't have to travel. It usually costs 10 bucks to get a month's
subscription to a university's live broadcasts. I watched the Duke game, the
Carolina game, the NC State game, the Georgia Tech game, the Hokies game,
and the JMU NIT games on their websites. All for 10 dollars each.

If that doesn't work, then go back to the olden times, when baseball writers would
read the ticker tape and then write the story from that - never having seen or
heard the game. With UVa posting the box score so quickly after a game, and
also the coaches' quotes, who needs to actually see an away game? How do you
thing the Daily Progress creates their articles?!

Go for it!
