Coach Bennett and the team had a rough first season last year, finishing with a 15-16 record and missing out on postseason play, but optimism is growing with a full freshman class in town to join veterans with a full year of experience in Bennett's system. Darion Atkins celebrated his 18th birthday in style Friday by accepting a scholarship offer from the University of Virginia. When the invitation officially came about a month ago though, he decided to make it a full week in Charlottesville, attending Tony Bennett's Elite Camp prior to the Top 100 to close out the week.
