Virginia defeated No. 19 NC State on Tuesday night, 58-55, keeping the Wolfpack as the only winless ACC team at the John Paul Jones Arena. UVa has won 12 straight games at the JPJ, matching the program's longest streak in the building. Joe Harris led all scorers with 22 points and helped the Hoos to their fourth straight conference win.

The Virginia men's basketball team picked up its third straight ACC win by stopping Boston College over the weekend. The Hoos' 65-51 triumph marked the third straight game with a double-digit margin of victory too. It was also the fifth time in five league games that the opponent fell short of 60 points. Hoos Soar Past Eagles

Boston College smothered Virginia's leading scorer Joe Harris throughout Saturday's game at the John Paul Jones Arena. While the strategy slowed down Harris, the Eagles didn't have an answer for rest of the cast as the Cavaliers featured six players with at least six points to capture a 65-51 ACC win in Charlottesville.

Wahoos Grab Win Against VT

The Virginia men's basketball team struggled in its first two ACC road games, committing a combined 29 turnovers while making just 8 total 3-pointers in losses at Wake Forest and Clemson. The Hoos reversed both of those trends when they traveled to Blacksburg on Thursday night and it paid off. UVa made a season-high 11 triples and recorded just 6 turnovers en route to a 74-58 victory against rival Virginia Tech.

Last February, the Virginia men's basketball team felt like it let two potential wins get away when North Carolina and Florida State swiped matching three-point victories in the John Paul Jones Arena. For the second time this season, the Hoos made sure to get a little payback. Less than two weeks after topping UNC for the first time at the JPJ 61-52, the Cavaliers topped the Seminoles for the first time since 2007 with a 56-36 victory on Saturday.

Hall Leads Cape Henry To Big VISAA Win

On Tuesday night, Benedictine's Cadets (Richmond, VA) played host to Cape Henry Collegiate's Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a match-up of two teams ranked in the top four in the latest VISAA state rankings. In what felt like a playoff atmosphere, the no. 4 Dolphins defeated the no. 2 Cadets, 72-64.
Devon Hall, Cape Henry's 6'5" senior point guard and University of Virginia recruit, had 20 points, eight rebounds, and at least seven assists in the winning effort.

Two ACC road games. Two ACC road losses. After taking down North Carolina in its league opener, the first week of conference play turned sour in a hurry for the Cavaliers as they lost to Wake Forest and Clemson to round out the week. An afternoon tip in South Carolina did not change much from a late-night start in North Carolina for the Virginia men's basketball team. On Wednesday night in Winston-Salem, the Cavaliers allowed a high shooting percentage in one half, committed too many turnovers, and missed tons of shots as Wake Forest won 55-52. On Saturday afternoon in the other Carolina, the outcome followed the same unfortunate formula as Clemson took down the Hoos, 59-44.

UVa Secures Win Over UNC

The opening moments of the second half at the John Paul Jones Arena didn't live up to the halftime discussion for the Virginia men's basketball team. So UVa coach Tony Bennett took a reminder timeout to dig into his players in their ACC opener against North Carolina. The obviously more composed Hoos ripped off a 17-7 run after that break and they did not have another turnover the rest of the way en route to a 61-52 victory.

In the early moments of Virginia's game with Wofford on Sunday, some of the post-exam issues with turnovers and defensive lapses that appeared against Morgan State and Old Dominion seemed set to haunt the Cavaliers again in their final non-conference game of the season. Over the last 25 minutes, however, those problems mostly vanished and the Hoos dominated both ends of the floor en route to a 74-39 victory.
