3-Star Center Set for Second Official Visit

A native of Nigeria, Frank Ben-Eze entered Bishop O'Connell High School (Arlington, VA) one year ago. A 6-10, 225-pound center, Ben-Eze had only been playing basketball since the age of 15 (he played soccer up until then), so he certainly was raw as a junior last season. He has improved since his arrival, though, and is now up to four scholarship offers according to Bishop O'Connell head coach Joe Wootten.

Brandenburg Deciding Between UVa and Stanford

Virginia Trying to Schedule In-Home with Jones

But, after a busy summer that included a recent trip to China, that has not happened. Top Junior Target Visits UVa

As the Virginia men's basketball coaching staff prepares for a busy September with respect to 2008 class recruiting, head coach Dave Leito and company got a jump on the 2009 class by hosting talented Ravenscroft School (Raleigh, N.C.) center Ryan Kelly this past Saturday. The 6-9, 190-pound Kelly, who had received a scholarship offer from Virginia prior to the trip, enjoyed the experience.

Brandenburg Discusses Trip to Stanford

De Smet Jesuit (St. Louis, MO) center John Brandenburg, a 6-11 rising senior who recently narrowed his list of schools to Stanford and Virginia, made the first of two key visits that figure to factor greatly in his final decision. The University of Virginia began recruiting 6-7, 215-pound rising senior forward Lance Goulbourne last year, but the interest from the Cavs really sparked up this summer. 5-Star Davis Reflects on Recent Visits

6-8, 215-pound forward Ed Davis is "really just down to those three," referring to Connecticut, North Carolina and Virginia. The 5-star rising senior out of Benedictine (Richmond, VA) has visited Connecticut and Virginia this late spring and summer and plans to head to UNC next month. The day after the end of the NBPA Top 100 Camp, Brandenburg and his father toured Virginia's grounds. He came away very impressed.

Plumlee Anxious for Second Visit to UVa

Christ School star rising senior Miles Plumlee plans to arrive at the University of Virginia two days before next week's NBPA Top 100 Camp (which begins on the 19th). He plans to use those days to his advantage to get a closer look at a program he says is "high" on his list of schools. This will be the second visit to Charlottesville for the 6-9 forward.

UVa Hopes to Impress 4-Star Forward

In his junior season for Mount Vernon (N.Y.), Kevin Jones averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks per game. The 6-8, 200-pound standout's breakout year continued when he posted back to back impressive performances at the IS8 Spring High School Classic earlier this month. The talented rising senior forward totaled 74 points and 35 rebounds in two games, capturing first-team all-tournament honors.

A Final Look at UVa's 2007 Class

Coach Leitao and company were unable to land coveted power forward Patrick Patterson in the spring signing period, meaning the Cavs' class consists of the four prospects signed in the fall signing period. Southern Invitational Prospect Wrap-up
