Virginia head men's basketball coach Dave Leitao played host to 6-10, 210-pound junior Henry Sims this past weekend. Rated a 4-star prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com, Sims, a standout for Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore, MD), enjoyed trip to Charlottesville according to his head coach. Full Article
UVa Targets in Boo Williams Tourney

Juniors Sylven Landesberg and Andre Jones were on display at the Boo Williams Invitational this past weekend. Landesberg, rated in the top 100 prospects in the country, played for the Metro Hawks while Jones, a 6-2 guard out of Nansemond River High School (Suffolk, VA), played for Boo Williams Summer League. Scott Performs Well in Capital Classic

Image: Mike ScottIn last night's Capital Classic held at the Comcast Center (College Park, MD), the Capital All-Stars defeated the U.S. All-Stars 149-145. UVa recruit Mike Scott turned in a good performance in a losing effort, finishing with 25 points including 16 in the second half. Last night was also the first time Scott had the chance to play with fellow UVa recruit Jeff Jones. Full Article
'08 Target Profile: G Elliot Williams

St. George's School (Memphis, TN) guard Elliot Williams showed why he is being heavily courted by ACC and SEC programs with an excellent performance this season. Averaging 23 points, five assists, five rebounds and four steals per game, the 6-4 prospect led St. George's to a 25-6 record, a small schools championship title and an appearance in the Division 2 state championship game. Kizer Key Recruit For Women's Basketball

The Virginia women's basketball program is looking for success on the recruiting trail to bring in support for young stars such as sophomore forward Lyndra Littles and freshman guard Monica Wright. With that being said, one of the top 2008 prospects in the nation has narrowed her choices to three schools, and Virginia is amongst the finalists. Lynetta Kizer, a 6'3" center, will decide between Duke, Maryland, and Virginia. Full Article

The group scored 72 of Oak Hill's 74 points in this past Saturday's 74-65 win over Montrose Christian, which boasts a talented but young team including UVa target Tristan Spurlock (pictured right). UVa Recruit Continues to Shine

In his senior season at Thornton Township (Harvey, IL), Mustapha Farrakhan is averaging 22 points, six assists and four rebounds per game in leading the varsity basketball squad to a 16-4 record on the year. Farrakhan, who had some excellent performances in the AAU circuit this past off-season, has carried the momentum he built last summer into his final year of high school. Full Article
