Image: Marcus Paige6-1, 160-pound point guard Marcus Paige averaged about 15 points per game as a sophomore this past season, but at last week's NBAPA Top 100 Camp he was asked to play the role of a traditional pass-first point guard. This was just fine with the rising junior standout, who has guided Linn-Mar (Marion, IA) to back to back second place finishes in the state. Full Article
Sullivan A Top Performer At NBAPA

Image: Bernard SullivanNorth Mecklenburg (Huntersville, N.C.) forward Bernard Sullivan showed off his talents at the NBAPA Top 100 Camp, scoring from inside and out while being one of the most consistent performers throughout the week. "Out here with the top 100, I've gotten to see how good I am against everybody. From what people have been saying, I guess I got a grade A," Sullivan said. Full Article
Elite Camp News: UVa Offers Jesperson

Image: Paul JespersonAfter having a solid spring on the AAU trail, 2011 forward Paul Jesperson figured he might have a chance to attend the National Basketball Players Association Top 100 Camp at the John Paul Jones Arena. When the invitation officially came about a month ago though, he decided to make it a full week in Charlottesville, attending Tony Bennett's Elite Camp prior to the Top 100 to close out the week. Elite Camp News: Harrison Visits

Image: Demarcus HarrisonChrist School (Arden, N.C.) rising senior shooting guard Damarcus Harrison has received scholarship offers from BYU, Oklahoma State, Virginia and Wisconsin and he plans to visit each school this summer. He was in Charlottesville on Monday and Tuesday for UVa's Elite Basketball Camp and reflected on the visit earlier today. Full Article
Finney-Smith Narrows List, Makes Visit

I.C. Norcom (Portsmouth, VA) small forward Dorian Finney-Smith, one of the top 2011 class prospects in the state, recently narrowed his list to Florida, Maryland, Old Dominion, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The 6-7, 192-pound prospect visited one of his favorites last week and will be able to check out another this week. Full Article

Christ School G Plans Visit To UVa

Image: Demarcus HarrisonRising senior Damarcus Harrison recently finished up his first full year at Christ School (Arden, N.C.) and he did well on and off the court. The 6-4, 185-pound guard now turns his attention to the late spring and summer months, which will include playing on the AAU circuit with the Carolina Ravens and making college visits, including one to the University of Virginia next month. New Jersey Senior Forward Visits UVa

UVa men's basketball has signed six prospects in the 2010 class, but if the right fit is there it seems as though the staff would add another high school senior or college transfer. This past weekend, the staff hosted St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) senior forward Ronald Roberts on an official visit. St. Peter's Prep head coach Mike Kelly goes in depth on Roberts, who signed with St. John's last November but was released from his letter of intent after the Red Storm underwent a coaching change. Tomorrow A Big Day For Baron

Image: Billy Baron Billy Baron will sign a letter of intent with the University of Virginia tomorrow, officially becoming a member of Tony Bennett's first full recruiting class as Cavaliers head coach. Three words come to mind for the 6-1, 185-pound point guard, who attended Worcester Academy (MA) this year after a standout 4-year career at Bishop Hendricken High School in Rhode Island. Carolina Challenge: UVa Has Offered Super Soph

Image: Montrezl HarrelMontrezl Harrell was relatively quiet in games one and three at the Carolina Challenge, but in game two he really showed off his abilities on the offensive side of the ball. The 6-6 1/2, 215-pound forward scored inside and out in game two, finishing with 19 points in the contest. Harrell demonstrated a nice outside stroke on Saturday, but this offseason the North Edgecombe (Tarboro, N.C.) sophomore wants to continue to improve his perimeter skills. Full Article
Carolina Challenge: Rountree Has UVa Interest

Maury Sophomore Guard Drawing ACC Interest

Eastern region runner-up Maury (Norfolk, VA) finished with a 22-8 record in 2009/2010, in a season in which head coach Jack Baker captured the 600 victory of his career. A solid group, led by a talented backcourt that includes sophomore guard Jamal Ferguson and junior point guard Sim Frazier, will return next year. Full Article
Coach Reflects On Mitchell's Senior Season

The 6-7, 215-pound forward turned in a solid senior season at Charlotte Christian (N.C.), which went 29-4 in 2009/2010. Starting with Sunday's trip to the University of Virginia, top junior prospect Marshall Plumlee visited three schools in a 5-day span. The 6-11 1/2, 215-pound Christ School (N.C.) center learned one thing as a result of these trips. Full Article
UVa Adds Talented Guard To 2010 Class

Head coach Tony Bennett and staff signed five high school seniors last November, but they weren't finished. Today, the Virginia program scored a verbal commitment from Billy Baron, a 6-1, 185-pound guard who is in a postgraduate year at Worcester Academy in Massachusetts. Baron originally committed last fall to the University of Rhode Island, where his father, Jim, is the head men's basketball coach. Full Article
