Two ACC Offers In For Jake Kite

 Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA) safety Jake Kite is officially an FBS-level recruit, recently securing scholarship offers from Duke and N.C. State, respectively. A third major FBS offer seemed a distinct possibility, but the Virginia staff felt they needed to see a bit more from the 6'1", 180-pound junior before they are ready to extend an offer.

Liberty Christian Academy (Lynchburg, VA) offensive lineman Braxton Pfaff boasts offers from Liberty University, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Tech. Those three offers are all the 6'5", 285-pound junior wants or needs, as he isn't looking to stray far away from home for his college future.

Mizzell Has "Great" Visit To UVa

 The University of Virginia football program is establishing quite the pipeline at Bayside High School (Virginia Beach, VA). It started in the class of 2010 with linebacker Henry Coley. Cornerback Demetrious "Tra" Nicholson signed in 2011 and subsequently started every game of the 2011 season. Wide receiver/safety Anthony Cooper signed with the Hoos in 2012. Rising senior running back Taquan "Smoke" Mizzell, Mike London and company hope, will be UVa's fourth Marlins recruit in as many years.

The Latest On LB Oren Burks

N.C. State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia have extended scholarship offers to South County (Lorton, VA) outside linebacker Oren Burks, who has explored three of the four schools already. Last weekend he was at the University of Virginia, attending Virginia football's February 25 junior day.

Warhill OL Eyes Spring Decision

Warhill (Williamsburg, VA) offensive tackle prospect Parker Osterloh does not want to take his decision all the way to Signing Day, saying he may be ready to commit within the next month or two. The 6'7", 260-pound junior has offers from JMU, Virginia and Virginia Tech, and he is fresh off of visits to Blacksburg and Charlottesville.

Henrico (VA) head coach Roger Brookes believes he may have two major FBS prospects in the class of 2013. One, a shutdown corner and big-play wide receiver, has been offered by Virginia Tech.  This year's Signing Day wasn't quite as exciting as last year's, when the Wahoo nation learned that Darius Jennings and Dominique Terrell were joining Mike London's first full class as Cavaliers head coach.  Fork Union has been a hotbed for post-graduate talent for years. The Academy has produced many former Cavalier greats including Billy McMullen, Darryl Blackstock, and Marques Hagans. With FUMA alumni Morgan Moses, and Cody Wallace currently in the Virginia program, two new Blue Devils signed on the dotted line to become part of the UVa football family Wednesday. Offensive guard Ryan Doull and wide receiver Adrian Gamble signed their letters of intent this morning and joined London's Cavaliers.

 The New Jersey Star-Ledger reported that Rutgers University football hosted seven recruits at the Rutgers/Cincinnati men's basketball game this past Saturday. University of Virginia recruit Kye Morgan was one of those players listed, so naturally there was speculation as to how solid the Franklin (Somerset, N.J.) running back is in his commitment to UVa.  UVa has added to its 2012 class commitment total this weekend, securing a pledge from Salem (Virginia Beach, VA) standout Divante Walker. Walker, who committed while on an official visit in Charlottesville this weekend, gives Virginia its fifth 2011 first-team all-Beach District recruit in the class.
