3-Star Henson Headed To UVa
Jun 26, 2012Monsignor Donovan (Toms River, N.J.) interior offensive lineman Brad Henson has decided to take his talents to the University of Virginia. The 6'5", 275-pound prospect, a consensus 3-star recruit, is Virginia's 15th commitment in the class of 2013.
Henson visited UVa twice this year, including once earlier in June. The competition was steep and included offers from Boston College, Central Florida, Connecticut, East Carolina, Miami, UNC, N.C. State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Henson is on his way to being a 4-year starter on the varsity level. He has seen time at all three offensive line positions on the high school level, but he is projected to be an interior lineman on the college level. Henson has potential as a guard or center.
In all likelihood, the staff is now finished recruiting the offensive line in the class of 2013. If that is indeed the case, UVa landed three of its top targets in Henson, offensive guard Jack McDonald, and offensive tackle Sadiq Olanrewaju.
Stay tuned to TheSabre for more on this latest commitment. We'll also break down the latest developments -- the past week alone has been action-packed -- and how the overall picture of the Cavaliers' class of 2013 looks in a Strategy Session tomorrow, so be sure to check that out as well.
